i like cinematic feel to this game! it hit's all the right notes. I'm a big riddle series fan i followed it since it came out and i love undertale. the crossover is amazing and it would be awesome to see how big you take this game. i mean both the riddle school series and undertale are big by itself and that's a huge oversight to execute properly. So i can't wait to see your finished product and i assume because you're doing a crossover that you are considering in corporating the undertales battle mechanics into this game. Which in itself would be interesting to see how it compliments the game. Over all just take your time on this game and look over everything and stress test as you go to make sure everythng is syncronized to a "T". I have confidence in you good luck!

This game is awesome! It's cartoon world for the ninja totally compliments this game making it as comical as hell, especially when it comes to the epic fails as you learn the game along the way. Ultimately this is a game of skill and patience! and for anyone who's having issues figuring out the controls just think agnry birds with a ninja cat and boom youryour training has been complete young squire. So go out with the cats meow fly as far the your eye can see for it is up to you player!! to save the precious felines in distress!! Good Luck and may catnip be with you!!! XD

this is one of the best reviews I read, thanks

i love everything about this game, old school graphics polished up to fit in todays gaming. i come from an era where the challenge wasn't just basing your entirety on what your weapons were capable of but also learning the curve of the mechanics and the coding as you play along. I like taking the time to enjoy a game where i get to feel the creators passion in making the game and bringing that world to us players to explore. i like to challnege myself with games like this because a brings a whole new aspect of gaming back to what today's gaming has been leaving out. Self Reliance!! if you get frustrated when playing a game because you figure out how to squeeze through a mechanic in the game which the developer used as an obstacle, than good! then they are doing it right! it's supposed to be challenging because it's good for our brains to rethink our approach that certain part of the gaming experience to continue the story line of the game. "don't get discouraged, Git Good, Son!" is the concept i always enjoyed! So again, Continue what you're doing and let whiners and complainer's discourage you because "it gets too hard for them!" The number one rule i learned when making it big in the gaming industry if players don't get frustrated then you aren't doing it right. So, trust me you are on the right track! Good Job!

Thanks a lot, this really makes me motivated to keep working.
And I think for a game made for a jam, some bugs are acceptable :3

aced it on my second run!!! honestly as the other reviewers have stated, a lot of potential in this! I'm not sure how far you plan on going with this creation, but i would love to see what you are made of and what you can do. as someone who was born in the late 80's i will state from my experiences from growing up, this brings back a concept in gaming where the challenge was to see how far you could go without dying. As the save option was introduced, creators and players abused that way too much and made games shittier. i came from an era where you had to actually earn your stripes with what you had in order to achieve your goal. i mean those were the times, where you get to the point in the gameplay where no matter what you do, you just can't survive a wave of bad guys that make you cry out in frustration because fate decided to shit on your progress. The save option when it came out was great when it came to games like Mario bros., Metroidvania games, massive level games, like doom and contra. those were amazing because it was about sending a wave of mechanics for the player to try to either work to over come an obstacle as they progressed through story, now a days it's about using broken mechanics in 3d world that only go so far without making the game repetitive and mundane while using epic graphics in order mesmerize the consumer. creators have forgotten that in order to make a good game you have to make it difficult enough to frustrate the player from the error of their own skills. if they start whinning because they don't have the chops to get past it then you're good!! So as i digress i see a lot of potential in the creation that you have, i mean i wouldn't mind if you came up with bigger creatures to take down that either solo you, or tag team you. That i actually haven't seen in awhile. The story for itself. As for the power ups, honestly, in my opinion all you need is health and ammo pick ups and that's it. as far as movement goes, all i would add is a dodge button or a tumble just to give the hunter more finesse. other than that the only final touch i would add would be a different assortment of weapons and then your game would be complete. how ever difficult the battle would be based pretty much on the boss creatures you add in as a challenge. so as i've said i'm really intrigued with the direction you are taking this game and honestly i will be keeping a lookout for upcoming projects, Good Job! :D

Wow! Thank you kindly for the really thorough review!
We will see if we continue this project after pursuing our now ongoing project of "The Gates Of Horn and Ivory."

And also, what you say is entirely true. Modern videogames tend to be really casual and graphics + narration driven, without a true difficulty curve, where you have to GIT GUD, so to speak ;)
We just might pursue completing this game in the future, as soon as we're finished with our first bigger scale game, that we have been doing for a year or so.

Peace be with you Gamegenie87, and again! Thank you for the really awesome and helpful review.

Awesome game man! i loved it, i don't know what the other people are bitching about, i one shotted through the entire story without a hitch,Textbased stories you can never wrong with them. on the next one if you are interested, it'd be cool if you kept the same mechanics but add in like a skyrym esc feel to it that would be awesome!

i think it would be really cool to see toon logic be implemented in order to solve puzzles. like your main character goes through a series of days/ levels in order try and help solve problems, that may not even problems but can easily be mistaken as such. i mean that would funny to interact with.

i don't know why, but i find myself grinning and laughing my ass off everytime santa crashes into the wall. i don't think me and santa have a close relationship lol

i really liked the gameplay, is crisp and smooth, i think with this game you could really go far with this. i hope you can make more in the future and blow us away again, just make the art cleaner and add more if you want in-depth in characters and others you might want to add in the game as well.

If 3ds max was free, I would definitely think about it.

it was fun i like it, i was disapointed because i wasn't able to see the creature that killed the faculty aand be able to fight it in order to be a hero.

Vogd3 responds:

May be next time:)

i really appreciated the game, it reminded me of the N+ series, with battle mechanincs, it would really be neat if you could add co-op mode to it and make more levels that you have to parkour through and fight monsters along the way as you build up to the big boss battle, and also perhaps add a sparing room mode either way i really enjoyed it
